Hussein Hijazi
Postdoctoral Fellow
I completed my PhD (2019) in Electrochemistry in the Laboratory of Molecular Electrochemistry (LEM) at the University of Paris Diderot. Afterwards, I pursued a postdoctoral research in the lab of Prof. Jean Marie Tarascon at Collège de France in Paris where I worked on sodium-ion batteries. Then I moved to the USA and worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the lab of Prof. Susan Odom at the University of Kentucky researching non-aqueous organic redox-flow batteries. Currently, I work as a postdoctoral fellow in Michael Metzgers group. My research focuses on developing electrolytes for sodium-ion batteries that enable long cycle lifes. In my free time I love doing sports, mainly soccer and jogging. I also love reading and watching soccer games and documanteries.
